Employee welcome kit checklist: what new joiners will actually use

Choose practical first-day essentials, plan personalisation and make repeat onboarding orders easier to manage.

01

Start with useful items and a concise welcome message.

02

Collect sizes and names only after deciding what needs personalisation.

03

Record the approved kit so future batches stay consistent.

01 / 04

Choose essentials for the first week

A good welcome kit supports the first days at work. A notebook, pen and water bottle are straightforward starting points; a tumbler or branded clothing can add value when employees are likely to use them. Keep the kit relevant to the work and avoid adding items simply to increase the piece count.

A short card from the team can make the welcome feel personal. Keep operational instructions and confidential company information in internal onboarding materials that can be updated, rather than printing details that may change on the gift packaging.

02 / 04

Compare the Hamperia welcome-kit options

Hamperia currently lists an Essential kit at ₹999 with a bottle, notebook and pen; a Premium kit at ₹1,899 with a bottle, notebook, pen and tumbler; and a Signature kit at ₹2,999 that also includes a T-shirt, keychain and personalised message card. Confirm the live product listing for current contents, colours and availability before ordering.

For a large intake, decide whether everyone receives one standard kit or whether roles or locations need different versions. A consistent kit is simpler to pack and replenish. If you choose variants, make a clear count for every option and include that breakdown in the quotation request.

03 / 04

Gather branding details and sizes

Share the logo file, preferred placement and any brand-colour guidance. Ask which branding methods are suitable for each item; print quality and colour can vary by material. Review artwork proofs before approval and check that the logo remains legible at the proposed size.

If a kit includes clothing, decide how sizes will be collected and who will check them. For individual message cards, use a final spreadsheet with one spelling source and review a proof before production. Do not send personal employee data through an unagreed channel.

04 / 04

Plan packing, delivery and future batches

Confirm the hire date, recipient count, office locations and whether the kits should arrive before or on the first day. Ask about current stock and production time, especially if you expect new joiners throughout the year. A small buffer helps when start dates change.

Keep the approved contents, artwork and quote together as a repeat-order record. Before each later batch, reconfirm item availability, prices, sizes and branding. The product images illustrate the proposed presentation; ask for final contents and packing details to be confirmed in writing.
